Philosophy

A design is only as good as its execution. The real work of a project happens in the gap between an approved drawing and a finished building — in the coordination, the schedules, the hundred small decisions on-site that either protect the design intent or quietly erode it. My job is to make sure nothing gets lost in that gap.

Biography

Ashik's path into architecture started with a B.Arch at Anna University, where his thesis designed a full Formula One circuit across 1,000 acres — an early sign of the scale and coordination-mindedness that now defines his work. After early projects in Madurai, he spent three years in Dubai with 5 Elements Interiors, delivering major retail and hypermarket projects across the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia — from Grand Hypermarket in Ezdan Mall, Qatar, to City Flower Hypermarkets across three Saudi cities. Returning to Chennai, he built a parallel career across design and delivery: as Associate Architect at Triskele Architectural Works on a 68-acre warehouse and high-end residential projects, as Proprietor of Triform Architectural Works on residential and commercial interiors, and as Partner at Triskele Design Build on high-end residential construction. He completed his M.Arch at the School of Architecture and Planning, Anna University, with a thesis on incremental housing. Since 2023, Ashik has been Project Manager and Managing Partner at Red Ant Studio, running Project Management Consultancy for institutional, commercial, and architectural projects — BOQs, cost estimates, schedules, and site coordination between clients, consultants, contractors, and site teams — for clients including Virtusa, Godrej, and Blue Star.
